Ethan Rowe has a wide range of experience developing n-tier business systems using Interchange and Ruby on Rails, working in Perl, PHP, Visual Basic, C/C++, and Tcl, as well as PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL Server, and MySQL database development. He's particularly skilled at developing complex, multi-functional projects.

Recent Projects

End Point Camp System - built a generic, configurable, flexible development environment management system out of highly-specific scripts and utilities; add support for Ruby on Rails, MySQL, and Git, to extend the services to which the camp system can be applied.

MVC in Interchange - designed and implemented a new MVC subsystem for Backcountry.com within Interchange using Moose as an object system and Rose::DB::Object as the "model" (object-relational mapping layer), designed to coexist with standard Interchange processes but to add a state-of-the-art framework for further application development; extended the framework to include advanced caching control and full-page caching for high scalability.

Ethan is a modestly accomplished pianist and sings tenor. He enjoys running, making music with his wife, and spending time with his daughter.
