Emanuele “Lele” Calò

Lele has an extensive experience in Linux systems administration and good comprehension of multi-platform environments and networks. In recent years he has been working in more of a “DevOps” role to automate and standardize systems.

During his career Lele has faced a wide range of system administration and security problems, trying to solve each with a proactive and positive approach both for internal and external customers. He also continously improves his programming skills in various languages including Ruby, Perl, Python, JavaScript (particularly with Node.js), and Java, to better mesh his system administration and development skills.

2012. Founder and technical maintainer of a small hosting business based on the Proxmox cloud solution, powered by cPanel, CloudLinux, LiteSpeed, and other technologies.

2010-2012. IT consultant for many web-related small customers and for one of the main Italian Internet portal businesses.

2008-2010. System Administrator and DevOps engineer at PrivateWave, an Italian startup. Lele helped the development team, maintained the business IT infrastructure and assisted internal and external customers in solving their problems.

Computer Science degree in progress, Bicocca University, Milan, Italy.

Lele and his wife have two marvelous sons and always at least one cat. Lele loves games, computer related or not, and riding his motorcycle in the Italian hills. He loves gaining as much knowledge as possible, which leads him to some conversations on very interesting topics.
