Consultant, Orchestria, 2005–2006. Staffed and managed a team of engineers and consultants to validate, design, develop, and deploy customized extensions to core software product for clients in the financial services industry, including Goldman Sachs, Merrill Lynch, and Citigroup. Developed analysis packages and ETL routines for very large databases in T-SQL, PL/SQL, and XML. Designed and developed highly optimized routines for traversing graphs.
Vice President of Product Development, Ontology Works, 2004–2005. Managed research, development, testing & QA, and release of all products including the world’s second ontology-based transactional database. Key leader and decision-maker on future database and information modeling technology. Directed the company’s transformation from a technical services firm to a database vendor of knowledge management systems.
Consultant, The New York Times, 2003–2004. Managed a team of developers to deliver a B2B website providing a reverse auction, PO, and invoice solution.
Consultant, XWare, Inc., 2000–2003. Worked with clients including BMG / Bertelsmann, XWare Compliance, and Sony Classical. Used Microsoft Access, Visual Basic, ASP, Oracle, Java, SAP, Erwin, Sybase to build desktop and web applications and ETL tools for fund tracking, rights and royalties management, document digital signatures, and market research data integration.
